Dinner, Drinks and 28 Ways to Win

Everyone's favorite college activity is the NCAA Pool. Each year, we run a NCAA pool for the St. Gabriel Athletic Association. The format of this pool is the same as the Office and Bracket pools we have grown to love. Here are the details:

Where:

St. Gabriel Gymnasium

When:

Saturday, April 6, 2009. Doors open at 3:30, First game tipoff is at 4:15 pm

Proceeds:

Defray the annual sports fees and costs
Continue the tournament fund
Update the children's uniforms

How to participate:

Buy a $100 square and you receive:

Entry into the party with one guest.
Two dinners and drinks (open bar), for you and your guest.
A big screen TV for your viewing pleasure (compliments of Quality Sight and Sound).
Two entries in the annual NCAA bracket pool.
One "square" on the board, giving you 28 chances to win.

Please return your entries by March 17th so you can receive your two bracket sheets!

Square Prizes:

$100 for the winners of the score at each of the first five timeouts in each half of each game (sorry, you cannot win on consecutive timeouts with the same score).
$200 for the winners of the half-time scores in each Saturday game.
$400 for the winners of the final score for each Saturday game.

Bracket Prizes:

$500 first place
$300 second place
$200 third place
$100 fourth place

Donation:

$100. Extra brackets are $20 each, extra dinners are $25 each.

Notes on the pool:

YOU CAN PLAY MORE THAN ONE ENTRY. Additional entries are $20 each.
Point distributions are:
- 1 point in the first round.
- 2 points in the second round.
- 4 points in the third round.
- 8 points in the fourth round.
- 16 points in the final four.
- 32 points in the Championship
If needed, the tie breaker is the total score of the final game. Please put this on your sheet.
We will distribute bracket sheets or you can simply fill out a bracket from the newspaper and bring it in.
You can view the current standings or complete your own bracket entry on the Web at http://www.stgabrielathletics.org. Look for the NCAA icon.
All entries must be received and paid prior to the tipoff of the first tournament game.

SPECIAL NOTE FOR BASKETBALL TEAMS:

Distribute this form to your players families and encourage them to buy a bracket. If your team sells FIVE sheets, the SGAA will give your team $100 to use for:

A third tournament for your team.
A team party
Team sweatshirts
